I have always loved to draw and paint since I was a little girl. Forever doodling in school on my notebooks and desks. I always wanted to be an art teacher, but my fathers health lead me to healthcare where I became a Nurse.  So Art was put on a backburner for years until my mother asked me to paint her something when she was diagnosed with Cancer.  I painted her "The Roots Tree" which began my love affair with painting and sculpting.  The tree hangs off the cliff precariously with only the roots to hold it in place. Signifying the importance of placing your roots in Christ in the storms of life. I have always been drawn to the Impasto Technique and have enjoyed learning new ways to put my own signature on it.  I love painting with my children and doing little art shows at my church. My little business began to grow and was a blessed distraction for all of our family during such a difficult time. I named it Cross Your Heart and Hope in honor of my mom's battle.  I carry it on today in her honor as she is now walking the beaches in heaven.

Hello!

My name is Misee

I do not like the storms I have had to walk through in my life. They were dark and heavy. But without those storms, I wouldn't have been able to see just how real the faithfulness of God is.

Without the storms it wouldn't be as evident that He actually carries me when I cannot keep moving.

And for that, I am so very Grateful.
